I set out on a mission to create something that was independent, good for the planet and good for you. Not a single thing I’ve sold should outlast me (unless you manage to keep your plants alive!). Everything was home compostable — from the cardboard boxes to the widger and dibbers we sold, and that was important to me.

So it’s with a heavy heart that I have to write this. But I’m closing The Grow Guide shop.

I want to thank the whole community that has bought, subscribed to the newsletter and interacted either on social media or IRL.

I started the Grow Guide over lockdown because I couldn’t contain the happiness I felt growing my own food and I simply wanted other people to feel just a smidge of what I felt looking at it all growing from seed. So thank you! Thank you for seeing the dream and supporting it.

As you can imagine the last few years have been testing, with a mix of the cost living crisis affecting us all, Brexit being a complicated minefield and all the usual issues you face when you’re setting up a small business. So ask any independent business, it hasn’t been an easy ride. But it’s been a beautiful thing seeing everyone growing their own food. Every order was packed with love.

As some of you may be aware I come from a radio background so my work in the world of audio will continue. My love of my plants and my love of outdoor spaces and nature will be forever.
