The Seed of the Month: Dwarf French Beans

Something you may be surprised to hear is that French beans don’t come from France, we know it's confusing.

French beans were discovered at least 6000 years ago in the region that is now recognised as Peru.

In the 14th century beans were introduced to France and Spain, by a coloniser, that’s why it's called the French Bean.

Beans are a great ingredient to add to salads. They also make a great Sunday roast companion, delicious with meaty fishes, or they are great on their own, cooked with garlic, toasted sesame seeds and soy dressing.
