How to Keep Your Plants Alive in the Summer

So you’re heading on holiday — well maybe not in the age of COVID. But at some point you will be able to travel again. How do you keep your plants alive when the sun is blazing.

Here’s our garden hacks:

  1. Make some watering globes.

We all love a drink, whether you love a bottle of wine or cold bottle of water, you can make use of those bottles by filling them with water and flipping them, and pushing them in the ground. This will release the water slowing in to the soil. Hack.

  2. For short weekend breaks, water everything throughly, and mulch.

Mulching over will keep the soil moist.

  3. Find a friend to water your plants.

Last but not least, if you think it’d going to be really hot whilst you’re gone, consider giving a key to a friend.
