The Tool Kit

It’s time to start growing, growing your knowledge and your kitchen into abundance.

We’ve got the perfect selection of items to get you started on the growing journey.

So what are the top 5 things you need to get started?

  1. Seeds (well, that goes without saying).

  2. Peat free soil

  3. Seed Tray

  4. Widger & Dibber

  5. Labels

You get seeds, peat free organic coco coir discs, a widger and dibber (home compostable), bamboo/rice 3inch pots (home compostable) and bamboo labels in our monthly boxes.

Once your seedling have grown tall enough to be pricked out of the seedtray - you’ll need to decide if you’re gardening strictly in containers (so pots, growbags etc) or if you’re growing directly into the ground (or a mix of the two).

We always recommend that if you’re new to gardening to try it out in pots before investing in massive trugs, or big garden transformations. You’ll get a good idea of how the sunlight reaches your garden, and you can move your veggies and flowers about accordingly. Plus growing in pots is a good option if you have a small garden or a balcony.

Additional tool (but very useful tools):

6. Trowel

7. Fork

8. Pots
